Welcome to Mackwood Park
Mackwood Park is one of our two community parks, and it is the heart of summer in Avon Lakes Village. This is our park for swimming and the beach, community events, and getting out on the water through the boat livery. The park is here for residents and their guests.
What you will find here
- Swimming and beach access. Enjoy the shoreline and the water on a warm day.
- Boat livery. Residents can get out on the lake from here. A signed Boat Launch Agreement with the Board is required.
- Community events. Most of our neighborhood gatherings, like the summer picnic and movie nights, happen right here.
- Open lawn and space to relax by the water.
Please note: there is no fishing at Mackwood Park. Fishing is at
South Shore Park.
Park hours
Both parks close at dusk, as posted on the signs. Please plan your visit accordingly.
Enjoying the park
- The parks are for residents and their guests. Please keep an eye on visitors you bring.
- Carry out what you carry in, and leave the space clean for the next family.
- Keep pets leashed and pick up after them.
- Be considerate of neighboring homes, especially in the evening.
For the official community rules, please see the
Bylaws and Guidelines.
The lake
We test the lake water regularly through the season. You can see the latest water quality results on the
